About R. Scott Iles

R. Scott Iles is a native of DeRidder with family roots in Beauregard Parish dating back more than a century. Scott was born into a paper mill family and he has long identified with the sacrifices of working families. He attended McNeese State University on an academic scholarship and won numerous awards while serving as a member of the Cowboys’ prestigious speech and debate team. After graduating McNeese in three years, Scott obtained a scholarship to law school at Louisiana State University.

Following law school, Scott moved to Lafayette and began working and raising a family. Having quickly learned the insurance industry, Scott began practicing on his own and opened offices in DeRidder and Lafayette.

For nearly 35 years, Scott has focused solely on representing plaintiffs who suffered personal injury. From insurance companies to multi-million dollar and multi-billion corporations, Scott has continually succeeded by challenging and defeating those who represent wrongdoers.

Scott’s unceasing dedication to his clients has resulted in former clients becoming his biggest source of referrals.
